Psalms 1:1 Blessed is the man that walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
Psalms 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law does he meditate day and night.
The reasons why the bible used the word walk, stand and sit in this verse is because there is a very strong connection between this three and it is the levels of interaction with the world systems. Walking is an act that brings attraction, standing is an act that shows a man has developed interest, while sitting is a state of convinience and satisfaction.
The bible adviced that it is better not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly, because their is something that walking does to your sight and it makes you develop interest for the ungodly which will cause you to stand, standing will make you develop satisfaction with the ungodly which will lead you to sitting with them but by this time even you would become a scoffer, jeering bd mKingy fun of the faith and the result is that the man become cursed because his delight is not in the lord.
Psalm 1:1 explains the law of consistency. How that consistency can make you develop interest for the things that are against God desires.
The life of a believer is a life that demands that one is very sensitive and very conscious, so that anytime you discover that something is going to cause harm to your spiritual life you resist them or refrain from them quickly.
This three words, might not literally means walking, standing and sitting it can also be a reaction, character or attitude that can lead a man to go against God's will, this act is common among believers. Anytime they find theirselves among friends who are not believers they tend to forget what the faith supports and are carried away by the dissimulation of friends.
Before a man can be tempted or lured by their own desires they must have gone through this three stages.
A believer walking through a street and noticed that there is place along the street where some guys stays around to commit immorality openly, he has another way he could pass but he chose to be passing there all the time whenever he is on an errand. It will get to a time that just walking across will leave him with the suspense of what happened and he will decide to stay and satisfy his sight any other time he passes. Note that although he has not committed any sin but his mind is already interacting with that act. Standing to see what happens has built enough interest in him and will make him Desire to come there willingly even though he's not on an errand. But anyone who does not in anyway interact with the world in this order will be saved from doom and will be called blessed. Remember that friendship with the world is enmity with God. So believers, be very conscious and sensitive to flee at every slight of attraction with the world system because failure to flee when it is little is danger to a man spiritual life.
