IS THERE A PURPOSE FOR YOUR LIFE?
When it comes to the subject of purpose, a lot of us feel clueless and wonder, "what is that all about?". For some other persons, they try so hard to understand the concept purpose but it seems too complex to be understood. The harder they try to understand it, the more confused they get and this leaves them frustrated. Sometimes they wonder if they are missing it somewhere. They wonder why the concept seems so hard to be understood.
Does any of these sound like something you can relate with? Read on to solve the puzzle you have been experiencing.
The book of genesis begins with the creation story and in it, we see God calling several things to come to be. For instance, when God said 'let there be light', the intent of that was so as to let darkness be displaced. Simply put, the purpose of the light was to dispel darkness. That sounds like purpose, does it not?
TAKE A LOOK AT THIS.
God said : Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven
PURPOSE : To divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years.
God made: two great lights;
PURPOSE: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
God said: Let us make man in our image, after our likeness
PURPOSE: let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
So, answer these questions:
Can God create a thing without giving it a purpose?
The success of everything God created affects His reputation.
God said to Jeremiah,
"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." (Jer 1:4-5)
The reason why you have to come to this world is because God has a plan for your life.
God does not waste resources, so it's impossible for you to be created in vain.
If you have not discovered your purpose, it's not because you don't have one. You have an assignment.
The problem to solve does not come after you're born, it has been there. The Israelites were in Egypt before Moses was born. There was sin in the world before Jesus came. That you've not discovered your purpose is not to say you're purposeless. It's just that the solution has not discovered the problem.
