How men lose salvation

To answer the question we must know the following facts

1. What is salvation?

2. Who is the author of salvation?

3. The quality of salvation (as a remission for sins) in the old testament

4. The quality of the saving grace of Christ Jesus.

Let's answer this questions briefly.

1. What is salvation?

✅ Salvation means to receive the life of christ

✅ salvation is deliverance from sin

✅ Salvation is also freedom from the curse of the law

✅ Salvation is having eternal life (the life of God)

What represents the life of God is the holyspirit.

We can rephrase our questions and say that

✅ Can a believer stop having the life of Christ when they reject Christ?

 ✅ Can a believer refuse deliverance from sin?

Note: a believer is delivered from sin, so can they renounce that deliverance?

✅ Can a believer return to be under the curse of the law?

✅ Can a believer lose eternal life?

✅ Can a believer lose the holyspirit?

Note: we have to stay high where the scripture is high and low where it is and not try to give extra meanings to what the Bible didn't say

 Who is a believer and an unbeliever

A believer is one who has accepted the gospel of Christ

An unbeliever has refused the gospel or does not have the life of God. He can also be called a sinner

We understand that having eternal life means that you can't go to hell.

Now saying can a believer lose salvation will also mean 

• Can a believer go to hell
• can a believer become an unbeliever

Note it's not possible for a believer to become an unbeliever, unless the person was never saved and is just a church goer. 

There's something a man  heard and saw before giving his life to Christ.

That's why you can't regard all salvation success in alter calls

Some don't know why they come out and some didn't hear the gospel they only came out for prayers as regards what the message is based on.

Only the teaching of the gospel gets a man saved if you preach about money and do alter call, people can't be saved like that

If you preach about deliverance and do alter call without preaching the Gospel men can't be saved.

 Now is it possible for a believer to backslide?

YES!

But does it mean they have have lost salvation?

No !

If we say a believer lost salvation 

We're saying they lost what God did for them in the gospel.

 Giving your life to Christ looks like a bet. Which is at stake. If we say that Jesus saved us and we still go to hell it means the work Christ did on that cross was not completed and it's not perfect. 

At salvation a believer received the holyspirit. God's spirit cannot go to hell. Infact Jesus has died and been to hell on our behalf. For a believer to go to hell, the holyghost has to depart. But Jesus said that spirit with be with us forever. He that is joined to the lord is one spirit. A Believer spirit and the holyspirit cannot be separated.

 2. WHO IS THE AUTHOR OF SALVATION

Jesus is the author of salvation. (Heb 5:9)

 Does any man have a part to play in their salvation? No they don't. But do we have a part to play in receiving salvation? Yes we do. Because Jesus cannot force men to be saved.

Eph 2:8 - For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Now your own part in receiving salvation is the application of faith. Jesus part is completing the work of salvation.

At salvation Jesus collected your life and gave you his own

 Gal 2:20 - I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

 So your life is with him which cannot perish.

And that life you can't collect it back because what you have just done is that you entered a divine convenant.

John 10:27-30 - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. I and my Father are one.

 We are in God's hand no man and nothing can separate us from God

 The Bible says 

While we were sinners Christ died is for us how much more now that we have been saved.

What can separate us from the love of God

 For example

You went to an hotel to swim, you paid the attendant $2000 for 3 hours so when you were taking your bath you remembered something and got tired in one hour.

 So you decided to collect back your money,  you won't be given because you entered a deal. Now if you get angry and leave the place and you come back again after one hour and your time still remains one hour, if you say you want to enter the pool again they can't stop you because your money has not finished.

 The mistake believers make is that the deal they made with Christ is eternal and it can't expire. If you like enter the world when you come back you will still meet Christ.
