I don't get directions from God, whenever I pray for it.

Getting directions from God is in the place of prayer, waiting on God and praying to God settles doubt

Why do we pray and don't get a response from God when we really need those responses?

There are times I've prayed seeking instructions but when I didn't get any would it mean the prayers didn't get to God?

Answers:
Do you believe the Bible as God's word? Do you believe things written concerning God there are not lies?

If you do then read through these answers

1John 5:14-15 (And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.)

This passage shows that God hears prayers and we receive answers to requests.

Mark 11:24 (Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.)

There is no time we pray  and God won't give a response, even the silence of God can be understood. So when you think you prayed and didn't get responses, check well to know if what you did was prayer because the definition of prayer is a means of communication with one's God. However, communication does not necessarily have to be oral (that through the mouth), the most important thing is that the two involved can understand each other.

If two people are involved in communication the two of them talk and the two of them listen but the talking and listening aren't done at the same time. One talks and wait for the other to respond, but many people are too quick to rush out of the place of prayer. This means they didn't communicate with God, they only went to make complaints.

There is a need to wait for God's answer in prayer.

One of the problem is that many have been trained with the knowledge that God can only speak through the audible voice, vision, and dreams it's not totally true. The human being has five sense organs used in passing or receiving information. So the almighty God is not limited to one mode of communication, there are diverse means by which God communicate with men which includes - peace, joy, inner witness e.t.c

Take a look at this scenario:

Matthew 8:34 (And, behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus: and when they saw him, they besought him that he would depart out of their coasts.)

In the communication between Jesus and those guys, you would see that they prayed Jesus to depart from their coast, Jesus did not respond by talking. Instead, Jesus departed from their midst, that is the response they needed. Communication has occurred between them.

Have you heard anything like spiritual insight, spiritual wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual understanding?

Many times we seek God for Directions, the response might not be for God to talk but might be for God to impart you with the ability to know the right thing to do, that impartation is a response from God.

The holyghost inside of a Believer helps the believer to know, but we are without knowledge because we have neglected the person of the Holy Ghost

1John 2:27 ( But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.)

1Cor 2:16 (For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.)

So, the problem is not whether God is speaking. The problem is am I hearing God's responses?

The funny thing is, every Believer hears God but we conclude we don't hear because we cannot discern the voice of God. The devil and the spirit of God speak through the same mind of a person via their thoughts, it is now left for a Believer to be able to discern the voice of whom to follow. Ability to discern the voice of God makes you say you can hear God

So how do you improve yourself to hear God's instructions?

1. Never rush out of the place of prayer when seeking God for directions.

2. Study Your Bible (Joshua 1:8) : Nobody receives success without having directions, it shows the word of God can give directions. Most of the things we go to God to ask, he has spoken about them in his word, so, it is very important to be diligent and sane with scriptures.

3. Do not neglect the Holy Spirit, always pray to be filled with the Holy Ghost

4. Always heed to every instructions given to you by the Holy Ghost.

5. Avoid disobeying God's instructions

6. Pray that you are spiritually sensitive to be quick in picking every of God's instructions.

7. Pray for Revelational knowledge, wisdom.
