The difference between two believers

A couple of times we have seen how that two different people who gave their life to Christ at the same time and one of them is doing fine in the Kingdom and the other just attends church meetings without any obvious fruit been produced in his life.

There are many reasons why it is so. But we will touch a few.

At  salvation a believer received God's spirit. So, anything good a believer will do or operate in, will be sponsored by the Holy Ghost. And here we see that only one person is responding to the goodness.  

Does it mean that the other person lost the Holy Ghost or does it mean that God loves one person than the other?

No in fact the holy ghost can't be lost .

Note: The amount of the goodness of God a believer can function in is dependent on the amount they  have paid attention to. The nature of the holy ghost in the life of a believer is the nature of partnership. 

God has deposited in us his spirit and if we don't engage him, we will  see less of him. 

What makes two believers different

1. One of them allows the spirit but one of them has quenched the spirit (1st thessalonians 5:19). If a believer can come to that point where he cannot feel the presence of the holy ghost again, this kind of believer is susceptible to the devil's use. If he has failed to yield to  the Holy Ghost instructions, the devil will give instructions to him. 

2. One of them have constantly grieved the Holy Ghost and failed to repent 

Ephesians 4:30  And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 

Holyspirit is grieved when we walk against his instructions or do things a believer should not. You quench the workings of  the Holyspirit in you when you deny and refuse his instructions. The Holyspirit is a gentle and calm spirit, He does not force people. When the holyghost gives Instructions and you refuse to comply you call him a liar. 

3. One of them did not pay attention to the gift of the holyghost within

1 Timothy 4:14  Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.

2 Timothy 1:6  Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

A believer has to pay attention to God's giftings inside them. The reason why you see some believers and you wish to be like them is because they have paid attention to the deposits of the holyghost within them

4. One of them has refused to produce the fruits of the holyghost

Galatians 5:22-23  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

One of the proof of growth is that a believer is manifesting and exhibiting the fruit of the spirit.

Let us put these things in mind.
