What the gospel is not.

1. The gospel is not the Confession of sin

2. The gospel is not in morality

3. The gospel is not the fear of hell

Definition of the gospel

The teaching of the finished work of Christ, the teaching of all that Christ did for us in Christ, demonstrated in his death, burial, and resurrection.

- The teaching of the gospel brings salvation

Romans 10:9-11 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Mark 15:16 commands that we teach the gospel, so the gospel is a teaching of the demonstration of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ

Effect of the gospel

- Salvation (roms 1:16)

- Unity  (roms 10:11-12)

Who needs the gospel

- Children

- Middle-age

- Adult

1. Sinners (roms 5:8)

2. The believer (1 Cor 9:14) - the gospel is needed all around a man's life, the gospel is needed for spiritual growth. 

The beauty of the gospel

The beauty of the gospel is that it is preached, believers have been given a mandate to go teach the world and make desciples. Evangelism or soul winning as it were is an obedience to God's instructions. God has a desire, he activated it in the gospel but he can only circulate it through you yielding. Mark 16:15

The power in the gospel

Evangelism ( reaching out with the gospel) is a teaching practice for signs and wonders

Matt 10:7&8

We activate the power of the gospel by going out, that's what makes the signs to follow us.

Do you want to give your life to Christ and be a pertaker of eternal life, so that the holyghost can come inside you.

Lord Jesus! I trust you and I believe in you, I believe you died for me, took my sins away and you gave me your life which is eternal. I believe you died and resurrect on the third day. I believe you were glorified. Thank you for saving. I accept you life and gave you mine. Thank you Lord Jesus. AMEN.

If you took that confession you're saved. And the holyghost is now in you. AMEN.
