What you don't know about the fear of God

THE ACT OF REVERENCE

The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom, which means every wisdom you have outside the fear of God is the wisdom of men, and the bible said the wisdom of this world is foolishness in the sight of God.  In the sight of God it is foolishness not wisdom

Which means if you don't fear God, the center of your prayer will be based on the things of this world alone and centered on foolishness, you will make decisions based on the flesh because you lack the fear of God

 If the fear of God is just the beginning of wisdom, we still have a long way to go 

Why not understand the love of God Also.

Psalms 25:14: The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

God will not show you any secret if you don't fear him, we seek directions from God on what we should do in our lives and yet we do not fear, God is not wicked but his kingdom has principles too, there's no depth God cannot reveal unto you, he will trust because you regard him. In a short time you will understand better when you know the meaning of fear

Many will say but a believer should conquer fear, 

(1 John 4:18: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.)

Let me  make u Understand something, this kind of fear is not the fear of been scared of danger.

According to the dictionary fear has two meaning

The first meaning that comes to our mind when we hear fear 👇👇

       (uncountable) A strong, uncontrollable, unpleasant emotion caused by actual or perceived danger or threat.

(countable) A phobia, a sense of fear induced by something or someone.

Now this is the kind of fear we have when we experience something that our brain is not processing or when we see something we've not seen before our brain signals threat, like seeing an angel, encountering a demon e.t.c, we tremble seeing danger,

     Now let's look at that of the fear of God. 👇👇

(uncountable) Extreme veneration or awe, as toward a supreme being or  deity (a supreme beign).

Let's check for the word veneration,

I know we can only see VENERATE so 👇👇

(transitive) To treat with great respect and *deference.* 

Big big words,  what's deference 👇👇

Great respect.

The willingness to carry out the wishes of others

😮😮 Wow

So we can now say FEAR as it were, is the respect and the willingness to carry out the wishes of a supreme beign.

Great.

The honour, regard and respect you have for God is what is described as the fear of God, God is not physical, but I will tell you the amount of people who can host and experience the presence of God is those that fear God because you're are always concious of his presence and that consciousness guides your actions and 

When u carry out his wishes it means you have carried out what he commanded you, so we can equally say, it is impossible to fear God if you don't love God because without the love of God you can't do the will of God. In this light a man who fears God is not a man who is afraid of God, he is a man who respects honour and aknowledge God

Psalms 34:11-14  Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. A man who does this things fears the lord we concentrate more on the love of God, and we don't know that If  a man does not fear God he doesn't love God. When u're afraid of something u begin to  obey whatever instructions it gives you and you do those things in trembling, but when u fear God  the love for God comes in place because u obey him in love. The real meaning of the fear of God is that u honour God every where his name is mentioned 

No matter how not composed the place is, we tend to give God more attention in a place where they worship the way we want, But we make jest of people when the way their worship is done does not look like what we are used to, the level of ur fear for God  reveals the quality of ur fellowship and worship to him, When we really fear God we don't know if the atmosphere is not conducive we create our own atmosphere of worship. The bible says The secret of the lord is with they that fear him. God will never show u a mystery (secret)  if u don't fear him becus he knows u will take his glory for yourself

Reward for fearing/reverencing God.

1. God is a refuge to those who fears him Psalms 115:11

2. God is ready to teach you  Psalms 25:12

3. The protection of God is strong  upon you Psalms 34:7

4. You cannot lack (Psalms 34:9.)

5. You have wisdom (Psalms 111:10 )

6. God blesses anyone who fear him (Psalms 115:13 )

Now the fear of God will make you 

1. Compose yourself in the presence of God.

2. Conscious of the presence of God always

3. makes you seek God more and so on.
